Started in 2007 in Cheltenham, a regency spa town in The Cotswolds, Hexx initially produced very simple clothing for the gym and general leisure wear. The aim was to produce fashionable, ‘must-have’ sportswear that provided value for money – it worked, and the brand began to expand the range, offering sportswear for a variety of sports & activities.
Due to the online success of the Hexx retail range, many people began to enquire about team wear and club kit. This was a very valid question – why didn’t we do it? Could we not use our philosophy of fashionable, ‘must-have’ clothing at great value for sports clubs and squads? Of course we could, so we did! Why should sports clubs have to spend lots of money on average quality kit? Luckily, Hexx stepped in, and provided a better quality and better value product range.
On the retail range side of things Hexx was also expanding, increasing online sales and supplying stockists, leisure centres/gyms and forming partnerships with some carefully selected sporting organisations.
In addition, offices were set up in North America and France – we had to show them that the UK did have a top sportswear brand and that they should pay attention to GREAT Britain.
Hexx is designed to offer a better quality and better price to athletes and fitness enthusiasts, and to prove that the UK is indeed a major sporting nation – ignoring the fact that our international teams can’t win anything … but Hexx is working to change that.
