The UK Javelin Association has now been firmly established with our central aims to help promote the Javelin event; increase understanding of the event for all throwers, coaches and parents; and improve communication to all those who contribute to the event.
javelin athletics throwing club coaching athletes We now have good linkages across the coaching community and into the NGB (UK Athletics and the Home Country Associations) and have fostered a very positive and collaborative approach within our own community as well.

The Association and website is still embryonic, with plenty of development yet to be realised. We have a small and dynamic interim committee that aim to have the Association operational by our launch date on 18 September 2010. At the Launch we will seal the foundations for the Association and truly become the voice of 'The Javelin Throw' within the UK.

The website will grow over the coming months, and in the meantime anyone who wishes to become a member can email david.parker@ukjav.com and will be placed on the members list. Membership will carry lots of benefits, to be published in due course.
